Into the New

Checked out the Albrecht Durer show this week at the MFABoston (chunks of earth in the sky). In the adjoining gallery was a collection of Harry Callahan's photos (nude on the grass with a tan line), and down the hall was the Seeing Songs exhibit, featuring this piece by Candace Breitz:

On the Road: East East of West

 A perfect last day in Tucson. Luce coffee, the street fair, a Tumamoc hike, dinner at Maynard's and drinks at Congress with my photo ladies (+ an unanticipated Tom Walbank performance). All this and I managed to pack, move, and work in the studio a little, too.

Yes, perfection. 

Road trip 2009: The last time I stopped at the Prada Marfa installation it had been looted - this time I found it restocked. After watching the sunset here and then checking into the Thunderbird Motel, mom and I had dinner at Maiya's (homemade bread, caprese, wine, salmon & chocolate). Later, we returned to a spot on the highway just far enough out of town to access total darkness and the incredible west Texas nighttime sky. Good food, new cities,  and genius mixes will continue...

The next 2 months of my life:
